As a senior member of the Design & Construction team, you'll provide expert guidance on traffic orders, road safety audits, and design standards. You will:
- Act as the Council's technical lead on traffic engineering, road safety and traffic order compliance
- Provide expert input into complex and high-profile infrastructure projects
- Oversee the delivery of road safety audits in line with best practice and national guidance

- Manage and develop a small team, fostering professional growth and innovation
- Contribute to shaping policy and procedures that influence how we create safer, more liveable neighbourhoods
About you:
You'll bring significant experience in traffic engineering and an in-depth understanding of relevant UK legislation and guidance (such as LTN 1/20). You'll have a strong track record in delivering engineering solutions that balance technical rigour with community priorities. Your ability to communicate complex information clearly, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and manage multiple priorities will be key to success in this role.
Why join us?
- Be part of a passionate team delivering a borough-wide programme that's making walking, cycling and public transport safer and more attractive
- Work in a culture that values collaboration, creativity and innovation
- Access professional development opportunities and a supportive management structure
- Make a tangible difference to the everyday lives of people in Enfield
