Contracts Manager

Location: Birmingham

Hours: Full-time, 36.25 hours per week (Mon–Fri 8:50 – 16:50 or 7:50 – 15:50)

Salary: Competitive + Car allowance

About the Role

ESD Recruitment are representing a bespoke joinery and architectural metalwork contractor who are looking to appoint a Contracts Manager.

This is a key role overseeing multiple bespoke manufacturing projects from concept through to installation, ensuring quality, programme, and commercial targets are achieved.

You'll liaise directly with architects and main contractors, coordinate drawings and production, manage subcontractors, and oversee site installation to ensure projects run smoothly and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with architects and contractors regarding design and technical queries
  • Manage project programmes and ensure manufacturing / installation deadlines are met
  • Oversee surveys, CAD production, and approvals
  • Manage procurement, manufacturing, RAMS, and applications for payment
  • Attend site meetings, oversee installation, and manage snagging through to completion

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role (joinery / metalwork / fit-out)
  • Knowledge of bespoke joinery and metal fabrication
  • Excellent communication, organisational and client-facing skills
  • Flexible and committed approach

Desirable

  • BTEC / HNC / NVQ in a construction-related discipline
