Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have excellent project management skills gained managing capital projects and minor capital works (NHS experience would be advantageous but by no means essential as candidates with experience gained in other public or commercial private sector environment will be considered). You will also be able to use AutoCAD or MICAD as well as good working knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel, Access and Project. In addition, you will ideally hold a project management certification. It is desirable for the preferred candidate to be professionally qualified within a related discipline such as RICS, CIOB or be able to demonstrate equivalent Construction or Engineering experience. Qualifications / Training
Essential criteria

  • Qualified to BSc (Hons) Level in Architecture, Engineering, Building or Quantity Surveying Post Graduate or equivalent relevant experience
  • Knowledge of structured planning and sound resource management skills in the development of strategic plans. Construction management knowledge Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both

Desirable criteria

  • Qualification with relevant membership of Chartered Profession Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) or Chartered Institute of Builders (CIOB) or be working towards a professional membership
  • Significant experience in Project Management, with proven technical ability.

Experience
Essential criteria

  • Significant experience in managing capital projects.
  • Significant experience of managing and being responsible for numerous professional design teams and directly employed contractors and sub-contractors.

Desirable criteria

  • Qualification with relevant membership of Chartered Profession Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) or Chartered Institute of Builders (CIOB) or be working towards a professional membership

Skills/knowledge
Essential criteria

  • Excellent computer skills, speadsheets, Powerpoint, CAD- CAM systems

In accordance with UK Home Office requirements, Band 2 clinical and non-clinical roles and Band 3 Non-Clinical roles are not eligible for sponsorship.

Please note that the majority of non-clinical roles (Agenda for Change Band with the exception of those which appear on this list - link, will not meet the minimum requirements set by UK Visas and Immigration to sponsor candidates to work in the UK.

All non-clinical roles (Agenda for Change Bands that meet the prescribed skill level (RQF 6) and salary threshold will be eligible for sponsorship.
