Q - Are you an experienced Art Teacher who is looking to make the step up to Head of Art and Design?

Q - Do you want to be the focal point of an Outstanding Art and Design Department?

In the heart of Bexley an 'Outstanding' Secondary School are on the hunt for a Head of Art and Design for a January 2026 start. This is a permanent, and full-time contract. This school is part of one of the best Trusts within the whole of London and recently invested heavily into the Art Department, adding brand new, state of the art equipment and resources.

The Executive Head Teacher is looking for an ambitious Head of Art and Design who is keen to take their Art Department to new heights. The School is renowned for their supportive SLT, and impressive Progress 8 results across all subjects.

The Executive Headteacher has said that they would consider an ambitious Art Teacher who is comfortable taking on Deputy Head of Art and developing them to eventually become Head of Art and Design.

The School are well invested into the Education sector setting new teaching practices, as well as training their own and new staff. It's an exciting time at the School

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Must have UK QTS or be in the process of gaining
  • Strong academics across the board - Degree, A Levels and GCSEs
  • Must be meeting the 8 Teaching Standards to a 'Good or Outstanding' level
  • You must be able to work as part of a large team of Art and Design Teachers
  • Must be willing to listen to feedback
