Catering Manager Job Description

Temporary Christmas Position Dates:

28th, 29th & 30th Nov, 5th Dec - 31st Dec (excluding 25th & 26th).

Managing a hot food unit at Winter Glow, Three Counties Showground. Free parking, free food & drinks whilst on shift and a great easy going team to work with Exact shift times can be provided on application. You MUST be able to work every Friday, Saturday & Sunday in the dates stated.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services, providing exceptional support during events, and contributing to a memorable experience for our guests. This position requires a passion for hospitality and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and service.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
  • Set up and dismantle catering equipment, including tables, chairs, and serving stations.
  • Provide excellent guest services by responding to inquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout events.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of catering areas, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages during events.
  • Support bartending operations as needed, including serving drinks and managing bar supplies.
  • Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of food and catering supplies.
  • Help in the training of new staff members on catering procedures and guest service expectations.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, catering, or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Familiarity with food preparation techniques and knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.
  • Experience in guest services or hotel operations will be considered a plus.
  • A background in culinary arts or bartending can enhance your application but is not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential for success in this role.
