This EMEA Theatrical team oversees theatrical distribution and marketing strategy across the EMEA sub-distributors. The marketing group is responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of all marketing campaigns for Sony Pictures theatrical releases within these regions. The department covers all marketing areas, including advertising, publicity, digital, promotions and exhibitor relations and works closely with various partners across a range of territories.
The role of Senior Marketing Manager, EMEA Licensees, sits within a small and dynamic team in a growing international region. The department is managing and overseeing the distribution and marketing strategy for 60 sub-distributing markets across EMEA and is responsible for overseeing and driving strategic marketing campaign ideas and executions on behalf of the region, for 25+ theatrical titles a year, reporting to the Director, Marketing EMEA Licensees.
*What You'll Do:*
- You will be overseeing and driving through to completion, strategic marketing campaign ideas and executions on behalf of the EMEA licensee markets (25 offices), including the Middle East, Netherlands, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe & Africa, as well as leading ideation sessions with the team as well as licensees.
- Be a key point of contact for the 25 licensee offices (60 markets) and manage the day-to-day communications with the territories.
- Initiate and manage pan-regional projects strategically, such as influencer campaigns and media opportunities.
- Acting as the liaison between HO and local offices, ensuring that brand guidelines are being followed, and making sure local marketing campaign plans adhere to EMEA regional strategy.
- Liaising with HO media team and media agency to discuss territories' needs, keep an eye on budgets and media plans on a local and pan-regional level.
- Liaising with HO partnerships teams to follow the global and local promo deals, update territories on promotions initiatives, share ideas, and locked deals with territories to encourage multi-territory partnerships and local cross-promotions with other SONY lines of business.
- Liaise with HO Publicity teams to strategically evaluate and guide markets on PR opportunities, local festivals.
- Leading territory calls to advise on campaign plans based on strategy.
- Evaluate local campaigns to gather insights and monitor asset performance, including trailers, as well as end-of-campaign results.
- Producing campaign overviews for the wider business, summarising markets key market activations on each title.
- Managing the organisation of the EMEA conference and ad-hoc events, and screenings.
- Line management of the department intern, including regular check-ins and setting developmental KPIs.
- Working with the intern to compile top markets' online trailer reactions and create a short report for internal distribution, and to produce analytics reports for internal distribution.
- Working with the intern to keep track of the licensee teams structure and preserving the master contact lists, sending list updates to the London and LA teams.
- Understanding the studio processes, guiding, and training the licensee teams.
*What You Have:*
- Typically, 7+ years of marketing experience in film
- Experience working with one of the following key regions: MENA, Netherlands, Scandi, Eastern Europe, or in an international environment would be desirable
- A passion and strong interest in the Film/TV Industry
- Strategic mindset and phenomenal attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent written/ verbal communication skills
- Can prepare clear and creative presentations as well as confidently communicate these to internal and external collaborators
- Exceptionally organised and able to handle and meet multiple deadlines at the same time
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Self-motivated team player who can work well independently
- Proven ability to work in a high-paced and dynamic environment with a can-do attitude and positive outlook.
