We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Stafford, a category C Prison located in Staffordshire.

HMP Stafford has a capacity of 741 males.

Hours

  • This role is 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday - Sunday service
  • 7pm - 7.30am
  • 4 week rolling rota

Please keep in mind as a night nurse there will be a requirement to do a day shift on rotation for ongoing professional development and support.

Salary

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary between £34,428 - £41,559 per annum depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

As a Night Nurse, your responsibilities will vary:

  • You will be an integral part of the healthcare team at HMP Stafford by bringing your clinical skills and passion for care
  • Be involved in anything from developing and leading clinics, undertaking examinations and tests as well as answering emergency bells and potentially being the first person to attend an emergency
  • Duties to include IV administration of medication, administration of controlled drugs, palliative care including syringe drivers, managing complex patients working alongside a paramedic in response to attending emergencies.
