The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and hospitality, coupled with excellent leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the food and beverage department, ensuring high standards of service and quality.
  • Supervise and train team members in food preparation, cooking techniques, and serving practices.
  • Manage inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to maintain optimal stock.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with management to develop menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
  • Foster a positive team atmosphere by encouraging collaboration and communication among staff.
  • Handle customer inquiries and feedback promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of special events or promotions within the establishment.

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management.
  • Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food safety practices.
  • Previous restaurant or culinary experience is essential; hotel or barista experience is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members alike.
  • A solid understanding of hospitality principles to create memorable dining experiences.
