I'm delighted to be working with a highly regarded Legal 500 firm that's looking to appoint an ambitious and experienced Private Client Director to lead their Nottingham office.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a senior Private Client Solicitor or existing Head of Department to take on a leadership role with one of the region's most respected firms — offering autonomy, growth, and genuine long-term career prospects. You'll be responsible for overseeing the Private Client team in Nottingham, taking the lead on a varied and high-quality caseload while supporting and developing junior team members, including trainees.

The Role:

  • Lead and develop the Nottingham Private Client department.
  • Manage a diverse caseload of high-quality Private Client work, including Wills, Trusts, Probate, Tax & Estate Planning.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior lawyers and trainees.
  • Play an active role in business development and client relationship management.
  • Contribute to the strategic growth of the office and wider firm.
  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional client service and high professional standards.

About You:

  • Experienced Private Client Solicitor (10+ years PQE preferred) with strong technical knowledge.
  • Proven track record in managing or leading a team.
  • Confident handling a full range of Private Client matters.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with enthusiasm for developing trainees.
  • Commercially astute, proactive, and strategic thinker.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
