Role Overview
The Account Director plays a pivotal leadership role, overseeing a roster of key clients, driving strategic vision, and managing high-level industry relationships. This role is responsible for ensuring that DH—PR continues to be a leader in fashion and lifestyle PR, taking ownership of client strategy, agency growth, and team leadership. The Account Director works closely with the Founder and Board to shape the agency's long-term success and industry impact.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Client Management
- Take full ownership of client accounts, ensuring a strategic, results-driven approach.
- Lead the development and execution of multi-channel PR strategies, ensuring alignment with client goals and industry trends.
- Act as the primary point of contact for senior media, VIPs, and industry stakeholders, strengthening DH—PR's reputation.
- Provide high-level consultancy to clients, advising on brand positioning, market shifts, and industry innovations.
- Oversee and direct the Senior Account Managers and Account Managers, ensuring the highest level of execution across all client campaigns.
- Be accountable for the overall success of press strategies, proactively identifying new opportunities for brand visibility.
- Handle complex or sensitive client situations with diplomacy, problem-solving skills, and senior-level professionalism.
- Maintain and expand relationships with senior journalists, editors, stylists, and influencers, securing top-tier editorial placements.
Press, VIP & Influencer Strategy
- Act as a senior industry representative, fostering relationships with high-profile press, stylists, and influencers.
- Secure high-impact, brand-defining coverage, ensuring consistent press momentum across print, digital, and social platforms.
- Drive long-term VIP and talent strategies, identifying global opportunities for dressing, collaborations, and placements.
- Oversee and approve all press materials, media pitches, and key messaging, ensuring they reflect the agency's high standards.
Events, Brand Partnerships & VIP Initiatives
- Lead and direct fashion shows, overseeing press, VIP dressing, and team coordination on show days.
- Take ownership of event conceptualisation, execution, and press outreach for major brand activations, launches, and cultural moments.
- Represent DH—PR at international press events, industry summits, and high-profile networking opportunities.
- Work closely with clients to develop partnerships and sponsorships that drive brand awareness and growth.
- Oversee client budgets, financial planning ensuring commercial success.
Team Leadership & Development
- Oversee the Senior Account Managers and Account Managers, ensuring alignment across teams and accounts.
- Provide high-level mentorship, driving professional growth across all levels of the team.
- Conduct performance reviews, training sessions, and senior team meetings, ensuring continuous improvement and excellence.
- Act as a senior agency figure, setting the tone for professionalism, creativity, and strategic thinking.
Agency Leadership & Business Development
- Play a key role in agency growth, identifying new business opportunities, client prospects, and industry partnerships.
- Feed into new businesst pitches and presentations, working closely with the Founder and Agency Director
- Shape and refine internal agency processes, ensuring efficiency, creativity, and best-in-class service delivery.
- Lead and inspire the team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance.
- Financially minded, managing internal spending to ensure commercial agency success.
About You
- Minimum 8+ years' experience in PR, communications, or media relations, with expertise in fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or luxury sectors.
- Established senior-level relationships with key editors, stylists, influencers, and industry leaders.
- Strong leadership experience, with a proven ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
- Exceptional media and industry relationships, with a track record of securing impactful coverage and brand collaborations.
- Highly strategic and solutions-focused, with the ability to advise senior stakeholders and navigate complex situations.
- Proactive, confident, and self-motivated, able to take full ownership of accounts and projects.
- A deep understanding of brand positioning, PR trends, and the evolving media landscape.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and overseeing commercial operations.
- Exceptional people manager, with experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Comfortable in high-pressure situations, able to make strategic decisions with confidence.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating calmness, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
