London Council
, is seeking an experienced
Senior Administrator
to provide comprehensive administrative and coordination support across a busy department.

This is a temporary opportunity, ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and a background in local government or public sector administration, looking to make an immediate impact in a professional and fast-paced environment.


As a Senior Administrator, you will:

  • Provide high-level administrative support to senior officers and team managers
  • Manage inboxes, correspondence, and diary appointments on behalf of senior staff
  • Prepare agendas, take minutes, and coordinate logistics for internal and external meetings
  • Draft professional correspondence, reports, and briefing notes
  • Maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with data protection and council policies
  • Support project administration, including data entry, monitoring progress, and updating tracking systems
  • Liaise with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth communication and delivery of services
  • Contribute to process improvements and provide general team support as required


What we're looking for:

  • Previous administrative experience in a
    local authority or public sector environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, able to handle competing priorities
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and online collaboration tools
  • Experience in minute-taking, report drafting, and professional correspondence
  • A proactive, adaptable approach with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
