Material Handling

  • Load and unload scaffolding components (tubes, boards, fittings, ladders, etc.) safely using manual handling techniques or lifting equipment.
  • Sort, stack, and store scaffolding materials in designated areas.
  • Prepare and issue scaffold materials for dispatch to job sites according to picking lists or delivery notes.
  • Inspection & Maintenance
  • Inspect returned scaffolding for damage, corrosion, or defects.
  • Clean, repair, and tag equipment to maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Report damaged or missing items to the Yard Supervisor.
  • Health & Safety
  • Follow company safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Keep the yard area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Assist in implementing safe loading/unloading and traffic management procedures.
  • Teamwork & Communication
  • Work closely with yard, transport, and site teams to ensure timely delivery and return of materials.
  • Communicate any issues, shortages, or hazards to supervisors promptly.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a scaffold yard, construction yard, or similar environment preferred.
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks.
  • Driving licence (desirable)
  • Forklift or telehandler license (desirable).
  • Basic understanding of Health & Safety and manual handling procedures.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

  • Yard-based role, primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • May involve occasional overtime or weekend work to meet operational demands.
