About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Probate Solicitor with at least three years post qualification experience to join our expanding private client team. The role will be based initially at our Mere Green office in Sutton Coldfield, with the option for flexible working once established.

This is a key appointment offering a varied and rewarding caseload, involvement in business development activities and genuine opportunities to progress within the firm as the department continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing all aspects of probate and estate administration
  • Drafting wills, lasting powers of attorney and other private client documentation
  • Advising clients on inheritance tax and broader estate planning matters
  • Taking an active role in developing the department, including networking, marketing and building relationships with referrers
  • Running a full caseload independently while contributing positively to the wider team
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with regulatory requirements

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor with at least three years PQE in probate and wider private client work
  • Confident managing your own files with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust with clients and professional contacts
  • Excellent attention to detail and a well organised, methodical approach
  • A proactive attitude towards business development and growing the department
  • A commitment to delivering clear, considerate and efficient client service
