Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. Duties

  • Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, to deliver goods to clients and distribution centres.
  • Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise time and fuel efficiency.
  • Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon receipt.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met.
  • Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company policies to promote safe driving practices at all times.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations.
  • Valid driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle type, such as a Category C or D licence.
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment or handling heavy lifting is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
  • Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting and long periods of driving.
  • A clean driving record is essential, demonstrating responsible driving behaviour. This position offers an engaging work environment for motivated individuals who take pride in their driving skills and customer service excellence.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £18,315.00-£39,339.82 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
