About the role
As a Hearing Aid Technician, you'll be part of a dynamic, high-performing service team dedicated to delivering the best quality hearing solutions to Sonova customers across the UK and Europe. In a fast-paced, technology-driven environment, you'll use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools and precision manufacturing techniques to create, customise, and repair small, intricate hearing instruments that make a real difference in people's lives.
You'll contribute to a culture of quality, efficiency, and teamwork — cross-training across multiple functions to support production needs while developing valuable technical and problem-solving skills. In return for your precision, dedication, and eye for detail, you'll join a supportive environment where craftsmanship, collaboration, and purpose come together.
More about the role
- Use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to design, modify, and prepare digital models of hearing aid components and shells
- Collaborate with colleagues across production and quality teams to ensure every product meets Sonova's high standards for accuracy and performance
- Cross-train in adjacent production functions to support operational flexibility
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace, following all health and safety procedures
- Perform visual and functional inspections to verify compliance with quality requirements
- Complete all required documentation accurately and in line with company standards
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to enhance production processes
More about you
- Excellent English — able to communicate clearly and understand technical information.
- IT literate and confident using everyday software, including Microsoft Office and email
- Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) or similar digital modelling tools (desired)
- Experience working with small components or within a design, manufacturing, or technical production environment (desired)
- Keeps tools and workspace tidy and well-organised
- Strong documentation habits and ability to prioritise effectively
- Quick to learn new tools and systems
- Proactive in solving issues and improving processes
- Active listener with a collaborative attitude
- Strong customer focus and positive communication style
- Reliable, punctual, and quality-driven
- Works well under pressure and follows safety standards diligently
- Motivated to learn and grow continuously
