Contracts Manager – Property Services & Planned Works (Northern Home Counties)

Location: Royston, Hertfordshire (covering Northern Home Counties)

Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 + Car Allowance + Fuel Card + 31 Days Holiday + Pension + Bonus

Lead the Delivery of High-Quality Housing and Property Projects

Are you an experienced Contracts Manager looking to take ownership of multi-trade property service contracts across the Northern Home Counties? This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected national property services contractor that's driving quality, sustainability, and innovation across housing, maintenance, and retrofit projects nationwide.

You'll oversee multiple live contracts, lead site and delivery teams, and work closely with clients to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of works while maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities


• Manage end-to-end contract delivery across multiple sites, from mobilisation through to completion and aftercare


• Plan and allocate labour, materials, and subcontractor resources efficiently


• Ensure compliance with PAS 2030/2035, health and safety, and company standards


• Lead, motivate, and support site and delivery teams to achieve quality, budget, and programme goals


• Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders


• Drive continuous improvement, sustainability, and customer satisfaction initiatives


• Work collaboratively with Commercial and Surveying teams on valuations, variations, and cost control

About You


• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager (5+ years) within social housing, property services, or planned maintenance environments


• Strong understanding of building refurbishment, responsive repairs, or retrofit and decarbonisation works


• Excellent people leadership and client relationship skills


• Commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, KPIs, and performance metrics


• SMSTS or SSSTS, IOSH Managing Safely, and a Full UK Driving Licence


• Desirable: NVQ in Site Supervision or Site Management, retrofit delivery experience

Location
