Project Support / Planner (Solihull)

6 month contract (potential extension)

£16-18 per hour PAYE

37.5 hours per week

The Project Support role is responsible for assisting in the management of projects as indicated by the Project Manager.

Provides robust project tracking and reporting. Assists in the ongoing reviews of the Project Management Methodology and processes.

In this role, you will:

  • Support on the creation and management of plans on the project, working with the project manager, the project sponsor, and business stakeholders. Including:

o Coordinating the weekly plan update activities

o Defining and monitoring critical path from the programme plan, ensuring the overarching Plan on a Page is updated regularly in line with plan movements

o Reporting on progress, particularly exceptions and variances to the plan, highlighting potential planning risks and issues to programme management

o Updating dependencies within the Programme / Project plans

o Updating and managing the dependency log.

  • Co-ordinate and facilitate meetings across partners and business
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and alignment on planning activities
  • Assist on the ongoing maintenance of the project plan.
  • Assist on the maintenance of Processes, Standards & Templates.
  • Support quality reviews of the project to ensure process compliance and effective Governance and Control.
  • Assist on the reporting of all key aspects of the portfolio.
  • Liaise with Business PMOs, reporting and share best practice.
