BBC Studios is looking for a second Production Coordinator to join its RHS Chelsea Flower Show team for the 2026 series. Working on the BBC's coverage of the world's most famous flower show, you will help coordinate filming for programmes for BBC1, BBC2 and BBC daytime.

Our Production Management team consists of a Production Manager, two Production Coordinators and two PMAs. This PC role is responsible for setting up filming for pre-recorded VTs in the lead up to the OB week. Working with a PMA, you will coordinate VT crew and kit bookings, travel and accommodation, location access and permissions whilst working to a budget and completing all necessary paperwork. You will also liaise with the edit team to keep to a tight edit schedule and manage rushes workflow. For the week of the OB, you will be a support to the OB team on location in London, including assisting with travel arrangements and liaising with talent and talent runners.

This is a fantastic and exciting opportunity on a much-loved and well-respected production for someone who has proven experience setting up tight-turnaround filming and is looking to gain experience on location on a large and busy OB.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT

  • Coordinating travel, accommodation, crew and kit bookings, location access and permissions, H&S requirements and runner support for VT filming.
  • Managing the VT edit schedule and rushes plan alongside the Lead Editor and Edit Assistant
  • Forecasting VT spend and managing costs (including supporting the VT PMA in managing their spend) and reporting back regularly on financial position to the PM.
  • Forming and maintaining positive relationships within the team and with wider crew, as well as with external Stakeholders. Feeding back regularly and escalating issues to the PM.
  • Coordinating the tasks and workload of the VT PMA to support in setting up the VT filming.
  • Supporting the OB PC and wider PM team where required to contribute to a successful OB, including on location where tasks might include assisting with travel arrangements and liaising with talent and talent runners.
  • Assisting in ensuring compliance with BBC Studios H&S policies and the VT RAs. Ensuring H&S vetting is completed where required.
  • Recording Albert data for VT filming and assisting the OB PC in completing the Albert footprint and Carbon Action Plan. Championing environmentally responsible practices and ensuring compliance with Albert certification.
  • Assisting with completion of the post-production paperwork for all episodes and international versions on Silvermouse alongside the other PC and PMAs.
  • Assisting in ensuring compliance with BBC policies, guidelines, legislative and regulatory requirements, in order to minimise the BBC's exposure to risk.

  • Have excellent logistical and organisational skills, anticipating issues before they arise and problem-solving calmly and effectively under pressure when things don't go according to plan
  • Have proven experience in accurately managing and forecasting costs and negotiating with external suppliers
  • Be a great team collaborator including managing junior members of the team
  • Be an effective communicator, including experience dealing with high-profile talent
