It's the ideal role for an engineer ready to stop fixing faults and start shaping projects, while still using their technical expertise daily. And progression isn't just a promise — the last person in this role is now the Sales Manager. From here, you could move into senior technical leadership, product management, or sales.

What you'll be doing

Acting as the link between sales, design, and project delivery teamsTranslating customer needs into tailored UPS and data centre solutionsPreparing quotes and presenting solutions with confidenceReading electrical drawings and specifications to inform designsCoordinating with engineering, procurement, and product managementProducing BOMs, calculations, and supporting documentsDelivering technical training and representing the business at industry events

What you'll need

Strong technical background in data centres, UPS, or other critical power environmentsAbility to read and interpret electrical designs and specificationsKnowledge of UPS systems, batteries (Li-ion & VRLA), LV switchboards, and buswaysConfident communicator with both technical and commercial stakeholdersWillingness to travel occasionally in the UK/Ireland and overseas for training
