The University of Sunderland in London, based at Canary Wharf, boasts a vibrant and diverse community of staff and students. We consider ourselves as an innovative satellite campus and are constantly evolving and have exciting plans for 2025 and beyond

We are currently piloting a four-day working week which allows our colleagues to work 32 hours over 4 days week with no reduction in pay. The pilot is part of our ongoing efforts to create a positive and inclusive workplace that promotes work-life balance and allows our colleagues to thrive professionally and personally whilst maintaining our commitment to delivering high-quality service to all our students.

In addition, earlier this year we have moved to a modern campus building offering a bright and spacious learning and working environment, including modern Simulation Ward.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Lecturer, you will be developing and delivering educational activities on our Nursing Programmes, teaching a variety of subjects and helping our students launch a rewarding career in nursing. Alongside the Programme Manager, you will also contribute to the shaping and promotion of teaching and related research and external engagement activities related to the Programme.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have NMC registration and proven experience of teaching within a higher education or clinical setting. You will need to be committed and able to provide a high-quality teaching and learning experience for all students. In addition, strong teamwork and collaboration skills are a must. We currently have four intakes per year and therefore it is important that you can manage workload with processes and projects concurrently.
