Purview Consultant

Who We're Looking For
The Purview Consultant role is a vital component in our commitment to providing the very best

consultancy and expertise to our customers. In close partnership with practice team members, you

will be delivering GRC/Purview engagements ensuring an outstanding customer experience and the

upholding of our exacting standards.

You will also be responsible for additional technical initiatives as requested by the Head of Security

or other members of the business, these will include the development of standards and driving the

development of new products and services.

What You'll Be Delivering

• Collaborate with client senior business stakeholders, governance and compliance teams to ensure alignment with organisational policies and regulatory requirements
• Stay updated with the latest developments in Microsoft 365 Purview and data governance features and act as a subject matter expert for Microsoft Purview within Transparity
• Help drive the development of Transparity's product offerings around Microsoft Purview, including collaboration with other practices to enhance offerings where technologies may overlap
• Delivering GRC/Purview-focused projects as per the agreed statement of works using Transparity playbooks and your existing technical expertise
• Maintaining and building customer relationships through regular contact - You will be the technical point of contact for your allocated customers during the project engagement, delivering exemplary customer service
• Ensuring technical process documentation and customer communication documents are up to date, accurate, and follow best practices
• Assisting the Project Management and Service Delivery teams to overcome any project issues
• Ensuring ongoing understanding of Microsoft compliance technologies and associated industry compliance standards and frameworks, as well as achieving technical examinations relevant to your role
• Ensuring that personal time management is of the highest priority and that punctuality is a key focus

We think you'll be successful in this role if you have some of the following

• Demonstrable expertise in Microsoft 365 Purview and related security solutions (DLP, Insider Risk, Information Protection, Communication Compliance, Data Lifecycle Management, DSPM including AI).
• Solid understanding of Purview Data Governance features (Data Map, Unified Catalogue, policy protections, integration with Azure/Microsoft Fabric).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Security tools such as Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR.
• Proven experience delivering GRC/Purview projects, including client workshops, solution design, and deployment aligned to compliance standards (GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
• Excellent communication skills with ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and customer engagement materials.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 administration and security configurations; capable of leading technical delivery and guiding junior team members.
• Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., SC-900, SC-300, SC-400/401) and applied skills in retention, eDiscovery, and information protection.
