Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work effectively with both hand tools and power tools. As a Vehicle Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and performance of our customers' vehicles.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other essential vehicle systems.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and modifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time spent on each job.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve workshop efficiency and customer service.
  • Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues accurately.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A valid driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
