About the Role

We're an established drainage services company looking for an Aspiring WinCan Coding & Reporting Specialist to join our growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants a blended role combining hands-on fieldwork, technical reporting, and client-facing responsibilities. You'll start by working on-site alongside our engineers, carrying out CCTV drainage surveys, learning how to collect accurate data, and supporting project delivery.

As you develop in the role, you'll also be involved in coding survey footage in WinCan, producing professional reports, and supporting business development activities — including preparing estimates, generating quotations, and following up with clients to help grow our projects.

This combination of field, technical, and client-facing experience gives a full understanding of the drainage business from survey to reporting to revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend client sites to carry out CCTV drainage surveys, including camera operation and data capture
• Work closely with jetting and survey teams to ensure accurate and efficient surveys
• Review and code CCTV footage using WinCan VX / Web / VX Mobile
• Apply correct MSCC5 coding standards to all reports
• Produce detailed and accurate WinCan reports and data exports for clients
• Support business development: prepare estimates, write quotations, and follow up with clients
• Maintain quality and consistency across all project deliverables
• Contribute to the development of internal reporting and QA processes

Skills & Requirements

• Willingness to work on-site in varying conditions (training and PPE provided)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Good computer skills and a genuine interest in technical reporting
• Basic understanding of drainage systems or utilities (desirable but not essential)
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Experience with CCTV drainage surveys, WinCan, or client liaison is advantageous, but full training provided
• Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills

Base Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Commission:

• % of approved quotations won (exact percentage can vary depending on company policy)
• Paid monthly in arrears, tied directly to successful client approvals completed work.
• Incentivises proactive follow-up, accurate estimates, and client engagement

Total Potential Earnings:

• £27,000 – £32,000+ per year, combining base salary and realistic commission for someone actively contributing to new business
