Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive kitchen experience and a strong background in food production and preparation. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dishes that reflect our commitment to quality and hospitality. You will lead a team of kitchen staff, ensuring that all food safety standards are met while fostering an environment of creativity and collaboration.

Duties

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.
  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of performance.
  • Develop new recipes and menus that align with our culinary vision.
  • Ensure all food is prepared according to safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Maintain inventory levels, ordering supplies as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and restaurant policies.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain the restaurant's reputation for excellence.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Chef role or similar position within a restaurant environment.
  • Strong culinary skills with a passion for cooking and food presentation.
  • Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on teamwork.
  • Previous experience in hospitality is highly desirable.
