We're seeking a motivated Electrical Trainee to join our growing Solar Operations & Maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your electrical skills while working on some of the UK's most exciting renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out operations and maintenance (O&M) activities on solar PV systems ranging from 50 kW to 50 MW.
- Assist with fault finding, diagnostics, and performance monitoring on electrical systems.
- Support repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance tasks under the supervision of experienced engineers.
- Ensure all electrical work is completed safely, efficiently, and to industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, issues, and completed work.
- Collaborate with the wider Alt Energi technical team to deliver high-quality service to clients.
Requirements
Location: Must live in the Worcestershire area or within a reasonable commute.
Experience: Some prior experience or exposure to electrical work, ideally in a technical or renewable setting.
Qualifications: Working towards or recently completed City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Electrical Installation, or equivalent.
Desirable Skills:Interest or experience in solar PV systems, renewable energy, or electrical maintenance.
Understanding of basic electrical principles and safety procedures. Personal Attributes:

Reliable, methodical, and safety-conscious.
Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a small, focused team.

Pay: £24,420.00-£25,000.00 per year
