Are you ready to take full accountability for multi-site operations and drive innovation in a dynamic, hands-on environment? We're seeking a Head of Operations who will be the heartbeat of our clients business leading from the front, shaping the future and ensuring every site runs like clockwork.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee all operational activities across multiple sites, ensuring safety, compliance, and commercial efficiency
  • Lead daily and weekly operational meetings, set priorities, and provide real-time support to site managers
  • Manage engineering, development platforms, project delivery, and third-party contractors
  • Take charge of financial performance, including budgets and P&L, while driving cost-saving initiatives
  • Champion HR, Health & Safety, and the management of vehicles and plant
  • Conduct regular site visits, audits, and performance reviews to maintain the highest standards
  • Collaborate with directors and commercial teams to align operations with business strategy
  • Deliver projects from mobilisation to completion, ensuring compliance with permits and environmental standards

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous proven experience as a General Manager or in a senior operational role, knowledge of plant operations is essential
  • Innovative, agile, and commercially savvy, with a track record in permitting, quarrying, or large-scale projects
  • Technically competent, able to achieve outcomes creatively while managing costs on a budget
  • Strong people manager able to hold teams accountable, develop talent, and foster a high-performance culture
  • Systems and process-oriented, but flexible enough to adapt and innovate
  • Personable, with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Ready to report to a director but fully accountable for results, open to candidates seeking development to board level, or those already operating at this level
