Purpose of Role
We are recruiting for a Mobile Fabric Engineer to join our team on the TFL Retail (Commercial Development) Contract, covering retail units and commercial spaces in London Underground stations, buildings and arches.
Job Description
This is a mobile role, working across multiple sites to deliver planned and reactive fabric maintenance, ensuring safe, compliant, and well-presented retail spaces for customers and stakeholders. Engineers will utilise their van and the underground for travel depending on the type of repair/projects they've been appointed.
Responsibilities
- Carry out fabric maintenance, repairs, and minor installations across retail spaces on the TFL estate.
- Support with fire alarm testing and compliance checks, escalating any issues as required.
- Respond to reactive maintenance calls, ensuring minimal disruption to retail tenants.
- Deliver works in line with FM compliance standards, SLAs, and health & safety procedures.
- Liaise with clients, tenants, and subcontractors to provide excellent customer service.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
- A strong focus on fabric maintenance (doors, locks, flooring, partitions, finishes, etc.).
- Experience in working with fire alarms and related systems.
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites with good problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of H&S requirements in a commercial FM environment.
- Full UK driving license (no more than 6 points)
