Houlihan Lokey Primary Capital Advisory ("PCA") is an established but growing player in the private equity fund placement and advisory space. PCA has an experienced team of approximately 40 people across seven offices in the U.S. and Europe who have collectively worked on over 300 fundraises since 2010 across a wide array of private equity strategies.
Responsibilities
As a Summer Financial Analyst in the Primary Capital Advisory team, you will be involved in:
- The provision of strategic advice to clients related to the positioning of alternative asset brands in the market for sustained competitive advantage.
- The production of core fund marketing documentation (investor presentation, DDQ, etc.) along with the creation of bespoke technical and qualitative analyses.
- The management of fundraising processes, including investor tracking and client communication.
- The completion of due diligence materials in response to inquiries from potential fund investors.
- The origination of new opportunities, including meeting potential clients and the production of pitch materials and associated analyses.
- The assistance of CRM maintenance, development and evolution.
Requirements / Qualification
- Must be in your penultimate year of study at a highly regarded university – completing your final university assessments in Spring or Summer 2027.
- A good grasp of the fundamentals of the private equity industry, including current trends, deal structures, investor requirements, and competitive landscapes.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Most importantly, we seek to attract dedicated, team-oriented candidates with a deep desire to win, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to work hard to achieve the highest standards of performance.
- Pro-active and resourceful attitude of solving problems independently, with the support of an experienced senior team.
- Ability to multitask and coordinate a variety of different projects with an organized approach.
