Security Guard

Reporting to the Facilities Manager the Security Guard will be responsible for security onsite at Belfast Metropolitan College, Belfast. You will work as part of the onsite team but must demonstrate ability to work on own initiative

• Location: Belfast Metropolitan College, Millfield Campus
• Contract Type: Permanent, Part-time
• Working Hours: Monday-Thursday, 22.5 hrs per week (Rotating Morning & Evening Shifts)

Job Responsibilities:

• Managing access and egress for all site holders including managing automated access systems for cars and pedestrians
• Monitoring CCTV, access, egress and site internal
• Carrying out security patrols
• Carrying out security checks on site
• Manning front of house entrances
• Assisting the site team in carrying out their duties regarding the daily operation of site

Essential Criteria:

• Must have an SIA license in front of house duties

• Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience of security business or working in a similar environment

• Must have SIA CCTV operator's license

• GCSE Maths and English Grade 4/C or above or equivalent

• Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocol

Desirable Criteria:

• Previous experience in school/college sector

• Security control office experience is advantageous
