Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Coffee Shop Supervisor to lead our team in delivering exceptional service and high-quality products. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a background in food and beverage operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily shop activities, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and foster a welcoming environment for customers. Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, or café settings, along with barista expertise, will be highly valued.

Duties

  • Supervise daily operations of the coffee shop, ensuring smooth and efficient service
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards
  • Manage team members, including scheduling, training, and performance management
  • Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all areas
  • Assist with food production tasks as needed, including barista duties and serving customers
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers for stock replenishment
  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to uphold excellent service standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and customer areas
  • Lead by example in demonstrating hospitality excellence and fostering a positive team environment

Experience

  • Proven supervising experience within a food service or hospitality setting
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively
  • Extensive restaurant or café experience, including food preparation and cooking skills
  • Knowledge of food safety protocols and food production processes
  • Experience in hospitality roles such as hotel or barista work is desirable
  • Familiarity with serving in busy environments and managing high-volume customer flow
  • Leadership qualities with excellent organisational and communication skills
