Job overview

We are recruiting a Mental Health Nurse to join our Team in Great Yarmouth and Waveney Locality, where you will be based at Carlton Court Hospital .

We want to recruit practitioners who can join our Trust and bring with them fresh ideas and fresh ambition.

You will need to be enthusiastic and conscientious and do everything you can to provide the best care to our service users. We are looking for someone who displays compassion, empathy and sensitivity in your approach to people who may be distressed or have a challenging manner.

In return we offer a supportive multi-disciplinary team environment where you will be encouraged to develop your own knowledge of psychosocial interventions and positive health promotion, with first-hand experience of engaging service users. We are a crisis led service and team hold cases which involves daily safety planning and reviewing and evaluating case delivery following trust and national policies.

Main duties of the job

Our primary focus is on collaborative working; placing great emphasis on the assessment/recovery model. Many aspects relating to service user recovery is reflected within the assessment tools the patients and staff use and the philosophy that underpins patient centered care.

Main duties of this role include:

  • Working
  • Offering holistic support and monitoring for service users and carers
  • Supporting administration and monitoring of medication
  • Attending weekly team meetings, regular reflective practice sessions and case formulations, team away days
  • Supporting the nurse in charge and team members with service delivery
