Yardsman/Storeman

Job Summary

We're seeking a Yardsman / Storeman to join our Fabrication Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in keeping our yard and stores running smoothly. You'll be responsible for managing stock, preparing materials, and ensuring the workspace is safe and organised. Hourly rate - DOE.

Duties

• Receive, inspect, and store steel materials and components
• Maintain accurate stock records and assist with inventory control
• Prepare and load materials for fabrication and delivery
• Operate forklifts and other yard equipment safely
• Keep the yard clean, tidy, and compliant with health & safety standards
• Assist fabricators and delivery drivers as needed

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role (yard, warehouse, or stores)
• Forklift licence (preferred but not essential – training can be provided)
• Good organisational skills, attention to detail and commitment to quality
• A proactive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
• Physically fit and ability to work in various environmental conditions
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week

Work Location: In person
