Audit & Accounts Senior / Junior – Established Regional Accountancy Practice

Locations:
High Wycombe or Aylesbury

Salary Range:
£30,000 – £55,000 (level and experience dependent)

Working Pattern:
3–4 days on site (flexible depending on office)

Full-time, permanent

Overview

I'm working with a long-standing, highly respected regional accountancy practice with a strong footprint across Buckinghamshire. Known for its deep roots in the local business community and a genuine commitment to flexibility and work–life balance, the firm is now looking to recruit Audit & Accounts Seniors and Audit & Accounts Juniors across its High Wycombe and Aylesbury offices.

Key Responsibilities

Audit

  • Assist with or lead audits for a broad range of SME, not-for-profit, and owner-managed clients.
  • Support planning, fieldwork, and completion, depending on level.
  • Prepare working papers, test controls, and ensure files meet required standards.
  • Liaise with clients both on site and remotely, representing the firm professionally.

Accounts

  • Prepare statutory accounts under UK GAAP/FRS 102 for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
  • Support month-end and year-end processes, including journals and reconciliations.
  • Prepare or assist with corporation tax computations for review.
  • Produce management accounts for selected clients where required.

Team & Client Interaction

  • Provide guidance to trainees (Senior role) or learn from experienced mentors (Junior role).
  • Build strong working relationships with long-standing clients.
  • Work collaboratively across departments, contributing to a friendly and supportive culture.
