Salary £25,000 - £28,000
Key Responsibilities of a Legal Secretary- Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative assistance to solicitors and legal executives across a range of matters, supporting 3-5 solicitors/fee earners.
- Preparing legal correspondence, audio typing, drafting contracts and documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Managing and organising files, schedules, and key dates, ensuring that all records and documentation are up to date and in accordance with legal procedures.
- Handling incoming calls, emails and enquiries, liaising directly with clients, professional contacts and external parties in a professional and friendly manner.
- Arranging appointments, meetings, and diary management for fee earners, as well as supporting with general office administration when required.
- Assisting with court documents.
- Maintaining confidentiality and high standards of client care at all times.
- Previous experience in a legal secretary, legal assistant, or administrative support role within a law firm (minimum 1 year preferred), ideally with audio typing experience.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and a client-focused approach to service delivery.
- Proficiency in MS Office and case management systems, with fast and accurate typing skills.
- High attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a supportive legal team.
- Competitive salary in the range of £24,000–£28,000 depending on experience, plus discretionary bonus scheme.
