Project Support Officer

FIXED TERM 12 MONTHS - PART TIME 18.5 HOURS PER WEEK

SALARY: GRADE E £28,598 - £31,022 PER ANNUM PRO RATA

LOCATION: TIVERTON

have an opportunity for a part time Project Support Officer working in our Growth, Economy and Delivery Team to provide administrative support to assist in the delivery of Economic Development projects. We are seeking someone who is interested in the local economy and passionate about supporting our businesses to succeed.

The successful candidate will work within a small, busy team supporting economic growth within the district. You will be involved in a range of administrative and customer service functions including administration of grants schemes, project and performance monitoring, business liaison and financial administrative support.

The job requires someone who is organised and able to follow systems and processes to ensure effective delivery of projects. Ideally, you will also have experience of using social media with excellent English skills to deliver engaging digital content to support our visitor economy projects.

The role is based at our Phoenix House offices in Tiverton, with potential for hybrid working.

As a Project Support Officer your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Undertake financial administration
• handle business enquiries
• create promotional materials
• maintain databases
• produce reports

About you:

Essential criteria:

• You will be proficient in the use of MS software (including Word and Excel)
• Excellent English and Mathematics
• Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) effectively at all levels internally and externally
• Ability to work accurately and to a high degree of detail
• A good team worker
• Ability to work accurately and to a high degree of detail

Desirable criteria:

• Experience of using a variety of digital media platforms including Facebook and Instagram
• Customer Care experience
• An awareness of the role of Economic Development in supporting local business growth
