Role purpose
The IQ Consultant plays a key role in delivering insight-driven consultancy projects for Higher Education clients across the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The role involves analysing quantitative and qualitative data, developing strategic recommendations, and shaping client strategies. It is client-facing, requiring strong analytical, presentation, and communication skills, with close collaboration across data, research, and client partnership teams. The consultant also contributes to sector insights, trends, and thought-leadership initiatives

Key Accountabilities

  • Support client objectives with impactful insights and data.
  • Design and deliver visually engaging consultancy reports with accurate analysis.
  • Lead client presentations and translate complex analysis into clear recommendations.
  • Evaluate client needs and recommend project methodologies.
  • Manage consultancy projects end-to-end, ensuring timelines, outputs, and client satisfaction.
  • Lead client communication during consultancy engagements.
  • Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to produce actionable insights.
  • Monitor sector trends and contribute to thought-leadership activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align with changing business and client needs.
  • Lead industry engagement activities as needed.

  • Proven research, analytical, and consulting experience.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative research methodology knowledge.
  • Experience working with large datasets and analytical tools.
  • Ability to integrate multiple data sources into clear client recommendations.
  • Excellent numerical, written, and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong presentation design and delivery skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines effectively.
  • Highly collaborative, proactive, and eager to learn new tools or techniques.
  • Strong project management experience within research or consultancy settings.
  • Direct experience in research consultancy or within a Higher Education institution.
  • Higher education sector knowledge.

We are seeking a highly analytical and client-focused
IQ Consultant
to join our IDP Partnerships team in the UK. In this role, you will leverage one of the world's largest international student datasets to deliver impactful insights and strategic consultancy for universities and higher education clients across the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

You will lead and support end-to-end consultancy projects—evaluating client objectives, designing methodologies, coordinating qualitative and quantitative research, and transforming complex analytical outputs into clear, compelling narratives that drive strategic decision-making. As a key client-facing representative, you will present insights, influence stakeholders, and collaborate closely with internal teams including Data Analytics, Market Research, Client Success, and B2B Marketing.

The ideal candidate brings strong research and consulting experience, excellent analytical and communication skills, and deep understanding of the higher education sector. You will work from our London office at least two days a week and report to the Senior Consultant, IQ.
