Join Our Claims Team

This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference to clients when they need support the most. With a strong focus on Property claims, you'll help guide clients through stressful and often complex situations, offering clear advice, reassurance, and professional expertise. Your work will play a crucial part in shaping the service experience clients receive from the Clear Group and in strengthening long-term relationships built on trust and transparency.

As part of a close-knit and supportive team, you'll be encouraged to share your knowledge, contribute your ideas, and develop your skills. You'll work on a mix of delegated and non-delegated claims, get involved in strategic reviews and cross-functional projects, and have the opportunity to grow professionally within a business that values authenticity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

How You'll Make a Difference

You'll influence the client experience directly by managing claims with empathy, efficiency, and confidence. Through your ability to guide clients from first notification to settlement, you will help achieve fair outcomes while ensuring the process feels as smooth and transparent as possible.

Internally, your insight and attention to detail will support compliance, enhance team performance, and help drive ongoing improvements across the Claims function. Your collaborative working style will also contribute to broader Group priorities and strengthen relationships with key partners across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Claims Handling

  • Manage a varied caseload with a strong focus on Property claims, alongside Motor, EL, and PL.
  • Provide clear, confident guidance on cover, settlement options, and insurer decisions.
  • Negotiate fair outcomes with insurers, loss adjusters, and suppliers.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the claims journey.
  • Maintain accurate records, manage diaries, and process settlement payments promptly.
  • Handle claims within delegated and non-delegated authority levels.

Team & Collaboration

  • Share knowledge and support the development of colleagues.
  • Build effective working relationships with insurers, suppliers, and broking teams.
  • Contribute to audits, client reviews, and internal improvement projects.
  • Engage in learning, CPD, and onboarding activities.

Regulatory & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with FCA regulations, internal policies, and data protection law.
  • Complete mandatory training and stay informed of industry developments.
  • Represent the business professionally, upholding company values at all times.
  • Declare any conflicts of interest promptly and appropriately.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who can bring strong technical capability, sound judgement, and a client-centred approach to our Claims team. You'll have the confidence to handle Property claims independently, the curiosity to keep developing your expertise, and the enthusiasm to contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.

Essential

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience handling Property claims within an insurance environment.
  • Experience working within delegated authority (DA) frameworks.
  • The ability to confidently interpret and apply insurance policy wordings.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to support clients with clarity and empathy.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and insurance claims systems.
  • The ability to manage multiple claims concurrently while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • A self-motivated approach, capable of working independently while contributing to team goals.
  • A genuine commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Desirable

It would be an advantage if you also have:

  • Experience across a broader range of commercial or specialist insurance lines.
  • An interest in, or progress towards, professional qualifications such as Cert CII, Dip CII, or CILA.
  • Familiarity with insurer portals and performance MI.
  • Experience supporting audits or compliance reviews.

Experience using Acturis or a similar system for claims handling and data management.
