About the Role

As a Team Leader / Senior Residential Support Worker, you'll wear two important hats:

1. Supporting children and young people in their daily lives - helping them feel safe, valued, and heard.

2. Leading and inspiring your team - ensuring every shift runs smoothly, every child receives high-quality care, and every team member feels supported and motivated.

You'll be the shift lead - the calm, reliable presence that both staff and young people look to for guidance. You'll model best practice, uphold safeguarding standards, and encourage your team to work collaboratively with compassion and professionalism.

This is a role where you'll make a tangible difference - not only to the children you care for, but also to the team you lead and the culture you help create.

Our rolling rota pattern ensures stability and predictability, allowing you to plan ahead and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

· Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

· Experience working with children or young people in a residential or similar care setting

· Ability to lead a shift, delegate tasks, and support junior colleagues

· Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and behaviour management

· Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins

Desirable:

· Previous experience in a senior or shift-leading role

· Knowledge of trauma-informed or therapeutic care models

· A full UK driving licence

· Based at our children's home in Trafford

· Full-time hours with a rolling rota including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in

Pay: £33,000.00 per year
