The role of Supply Planner in the FMCG industry involves managing the raw materials and supply chain processes to ensure optimal stock levels and efficient operations. Based just outside of Oxford, this position requires a detail-oriented individual with a focus on accuracy and supply chain management.

Description

  • To ensure the weekly system process (Monday process) gets updated correctly and in timely manner each Monday
  • To ensure the routine tasks are completed (Stock report, Subcontracting process, Bulk Report)
  • To ensure month end process is covered (bottling pricing discrepancies) when required from Finance
  • To follow up and query with EDI providers or IT consultants in case of any interface or ordering issues
  • To review stock balance and daily check bottler interface system and chase through stock releases.
  • Overlay and analyse forecast demand to stock requirements to meet defined stock holding targets for UK Bottled Stock
  • Provide cover for Supply Planning Manager
  • Fulfil role within the weekly planning forum
  • Ensure PO numbers for bulk wine are raised in a timely fashion and processed through SAP
  • Coordinate priority tank movement with Logistics team to meet demands
  • Take the lead at weekly Bottler Telecons and attend quarterly performance meetings with GBC
  • Organise production plan (bulk report) in conjunction with the bottling plants ensuring supplies of wine are coordinated in line with the plan.
  • To review production plan and feedback suggestions to bottlers (priority SKUs, demurrage concerns)
  • Create and Track Supply related KPI's and hit defined targets.
  • Authorisation of label purchases, looking for the most cost-effective solutions on price and avoidance of write off, keeping in mind sensitive MOQ's and vintage change.
  • Solve operational issues that are impacting or have the potential to impact stock availability or service.
  • Liaison with bottlers and internal team of packaging changing due to Vintage change and NPD introduction in coordination with the Project Manager and NPD coordinator.
  • Monitor obsolete / Slow Moving / surplus stocks in the UK and at origin. Highlight and follow through on actions to resolve
  • Plan and manage through product delists and switchover with minimal disruption and waste
  • Communicate and highlight stock risks and out of stocks to the UK Supply Chain Team being specific about the shortage level and timeframe.
  • To lead or be involved in Supply Chain projects

Profile

A successful Supply Planner should have:

  • Experience in procurement and supply chain management, ideally within the FMCG industry.
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency in supply chain software (SAP highly desirable)
  • An organised and detail-oriented approach to tasks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to solve problems efficiently.
  • Knowledge of compliance and procurement regulations.
