We are pleased to announce that due to internal progression, an exciting opportunity has become available to join the South West & Wales Quality Team within Adult Care as a Quality Improvement Lead.

The position is ideal for any candidate who is enthusiastic about supporting high standards of care and support, is curious about information and data gathering and is an ambassador for a person centred and quality improvement culture.

This is a full time role of 37.5 hours per week.

The position of Quality Improvement Lead is a remote role, covering the South West & Wales Region – West Midlands, Wales, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire & Avon, South Peninsula and South Central West, within which there are approximately 73 services in the region which support people with Learning Disability, Autism and Mental Health Needs.

The role holder will be combining regular service visits alongside home working and office visits.

The candidate must hold a valid Driving Licence and have access to their own car.

What you'll be doing

As the Quality Improvement Lead for The South West & Wales, you will be welcomed into the region by members of a very experienced and knowledgeable Senior Leadership Team. The role is integral to the success of the region in terms of outcomes for our services, our colleagues and the people we support.

You will be working an experienced team of Quality Improvement Leads, supporting the Associate Director of Quality to provide practice leadership, develop and improve/maintain high standards of support, safety and governance practices across our Adult Care Services within the region.

You will also be working with Service Managers and Operations Directors to ensure that their services not only meet all regulatory and organisational requirements but are aligning with our Priory Values and are seeking continuous quality improvement.

On occasion, the Quality Improvement Lead may be required to represent the region and the organisation across a range of external communication platforms.

What you'll bring to the role
  • Expert specialist knowledge of leading, implementing and reviewing quality initiatives across health and social care.
  • The post holder will have extensive experience of management and/or leadership within 'good' adult social care services
  • Have a sound knowledge and/or experience of managing change, quality improvement and site turnaround.
  • Will have detailed and up to date knowledge of the social care industry, regulatory matters and current best practice.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written as the role requires the ability of discussing issues with, and presenting findings to senior management teams as well as report writing and the presentation of information and recommendations in a clear and logical way.
  • The ability to work both alone or as part of a team, demonstrating autonomy in prioritising workload based on risk and outcomes.
  • A valid UK driving licence is essential for the role
  • Regular CPD is required to ensure the role holder is up to date and credible within the sector. In addition they will be expected to undergo specific statutory and regulatory training.
