Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Colchester for a Brain Injury Support Worker, based in our day services. The Support Worker will provide day-to-day assistance to individuals with acquired brain injury, tailoring support to their unique needs and aspirations. Responsibilities include promoting independence, ensuring safeguarding standards are upheld, delivering emotional and practical support, and collaborating with colleagues and external professionals to provide a high standard of care.

Qualifications

  • Experience or skills in support work, including working with individuals with acquired brain injury or similar needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with individuals, families, and teams.
  • Awareness of safeguarding practices and the ability to maintain a safe and supportive environment.
  • Competence in basic technical tools to document, report, and support service delivery.
  • Empathy, patience, and a person-centered approach to care.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to varying situations.
