Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled, dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various construction projects. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and a willingness to learn. As a Groundworker, you will be required to work as part of a team, following simply instructions from a foreman.

Duties

  • Assist in the excavation and preparation of sites for construction projects.
  • Operate hand tools and machinery safely and effectively.
  • Perform tasks such as digging trenches, laying foundations, and installing steel cages.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored correctly.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within specifications.
  • Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Report any issues or concerns to supervisors promptly.

Experience

  • Previous experience in groundworks is a must. Training will be provided for the right candidate for specific tasks in house.
  • Familiarity with construction tools and equipment is essential.
  • A valid driving licence and own transport is required for site travel.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team are essential.
  • A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and techniques in groundworks is highly valued.
