Senior Quantity Surveyor – Specialist Commercial Interior Fit-Out - £70,000 – £80,000 per annum + car allowance + bonus

Location: High Wycombe (2 days WFH)

The Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a busy and growing team. This role offers the opportunity to manage the commercial aspects of high-profile interior fit-out projects, working closely with project teams to ensure accurate cost control, procurement, and financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead commercial management of subcontractor packages, including tendering and contract administration.
  • Prepare interim valuations, manage variations, and final accounts.
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts, and budgets to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Undertake measurement and quantity take-offs for interior fit-out projects.
  • Liaise with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on budget and programme.
  • Identify and manage commercial risks, providing solutions and recommendations.
  • Mentor and support junior QS staff where applicable.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years' experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a subcontractor, ideally in interior fit-out or commercial refurbishment.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Cost Management, or related discipline preferred.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale projects and subcontractor packages.
  • Must live within approximately one hour commuting distance of High Wycombe.
  • Full UK driving licence with own transport (required for travel to London projects).
  • Permanent right to work full-time in the UK.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Excel and commercial software, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and capable of working independently while supporting project teams.
