Online Tutor

TheTutorCloud, based in Scotland, is an upcoming online peer-to-peer facilitation business which matches students with tutors and takes care of everything in-between. Aiming for a full launch in early 2026, we are looking for our first tutors to pioneer our online system and business model, potentially for the remainder of 2025. While not guaranteed, we hope this can provide a continued and long term tutoring opportunity if desired, should our trial period be successful.

You push the button and we'll do the rest. TTC's online system aims to make tutoring hassle free for all involved, allowing tutors to set their availability, prices, and subject offerings, and then listing this on our online portal where students can book online sessions at the touch of a button. Upon bookings being made, both the tutor and student will receive an online meeting invite and be added to a chat room, with inbuilt AI taking notes to facilitate teaching and revision.

As our online system and demand for our services are currently untested, we are looking to work closely with a small group of tutors to test this before assessing how close we are to a full launch.

Job Summary

In a short-term opportunity potentially translating to a long term one, we are seeking dedicated and passionate (SQA Subject N4/N5/Higher) Tutors to provide personalised educational support to students, whilst simultaneously providing feedback on our new online system leading up to our full launch. Work when you want, where you want, with less hassle, no loss to commission, and access to several online tools to support your teaching.

Duties

• Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions
• Develop lesson plans that cater to the individual learning styles and needs of each student.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly to ensure comprehension and retention of material.
• Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes confidence and motivation in students.
• Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding progress and areas for improvement.
• Regularly update tutoring availability online
• Provide feedback to TheTutorCloud

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with students and parents.
• Strong organisational skills to manage lesson planning and student records efficiently.

• Online tutoring experience not a requirement but preferred

Pay: From £15.00 per hour
