Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as our first construction apprentice. This entry-level position offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience and develop essential skills within a supportive environment. The role is designed to provide hands-on training, allowing apprentices to learn from experienced professionals and progress in their chosen field. Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and a commitment to personal growth.
Duties
- Assist senior staff with daily tasks and operational activities relevant to the specific industry
- Observe and learn technical procedures, safety protocols, and best practices
- Support the team in maintaining equipment, organising work areas, and preparing materials
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, and on-the-job learning opportunities
- Complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently under supervision
- Contribute to team efforts to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements
- A keen interest in developing skills within the industry
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Willingness to undertake training programmes and learn new techniques
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Prior experience is not necessary; however, a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential
- Must be aged 16 or over and eligible to work in the UK
- Must have a valid driving license and be able to commute to work
- Must be physically fit to labour in a construction role
