With a changing flood landscape, including the need to address the Thames 2100 strategy, we are increasing our investment in flood resilience. Providing expert advice on flood risk and conducting drainage assessments to support planning and development decisions.
Supporting with funding bid applications and project management of our SuDS programme of works.
Working with the wider Resilience Team in emergency planning and response to support residents in times of need.
Development Opportunities:
As a Senior Flood Risk Officer, you will have the opportunity to enhance your skills and knowledge through continuous professional development. You will gain experience in:
Strategic planning and policy development.
Community engagement and resilience building.
Multi-agency collaboration and emergency response planning.
If you are passionate about improving flood resilience in our community and have a keen interest in flood risk management, we would love to hear from you.

The team also carries out duties of the Lead Local Flood Authority, managing local flood risks from surface water, ground water and ordinary watercourses.
The role offers a hybrid working capability, with requirement to come into the Hounslow Central office, or one of our sites across the borough, twice a week.
