Motor Vehicle Technician/Mechanic

  • Perform servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles.
  • Use advanced diagnostic tools to identify and repair faults efficiently.
  • Carry out road tests to ensure vehicle performance.
  • Conduct Vehicle Health Checks and recommend work where necessary.
  • Work on brakes, suspension, clutches, and general mechanical systems.
  • Timing belt / Chain replacement.
  • Maintain a clean, well-organised workspace and uphold safety standards.
  • Mentor apprentices and support their development when needed.
  • Driving to a range of locations for on site repairs in a fully equipped service vehicle.
  • To be able to carry out a range of repairs and mechanical diagnostic and service work on site.

Requirements:

· NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).

  • Your own set of professional tools.
  • A team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Proficiency with diagnostics, hand tools, and interpreting technical data.
  • MOT tester accreditation (desirable).
  • Experience in 7.5 ton lorries (desirable).
  • Knowledge of the workings of ADBLUE DENOX SYSTEMS service and. repair (desirable).
  • A full, clean valid UK driving licence.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

One saturday in four essential, overtime optional

Salary: dependant on experience.
