Structural Artistry is at the heart of our business, allowing us to collaborate with world leading architects.   All engineers at every grade contribute to the continuous learning required to deliver some of the most complex building projects .   Questioning the norm is part of the Buro Happold everyday engineering process, with opinions and contributions expected from all .  This is particularly acute in challenging how structural engineering impacts the environment and the contribution to embodied carbon usage .

Application Process
For the purpose of this application we ask you to fill in a form with some role-specific questions, which means you should ignore the "CV Upload" request when you click apply. This will allow us to get to know you better and standardise the information we get from each candidate.

For the purpose of this application, we will ask you to describe any work or volunteering experience you have. Please note we are looking for any experience not necessarily industry related.

We believe in ensuring all our processes are equitable and that we help everyone access the opportunities we have to offer. To ensure that we do not disadvantage anyone during the application process we ask that all responses in application forms should be completed without the assistance of generative AI, not everyone has equal access to AI tools and we'd love to hear from you in your own words as we get to know you through the process.

This is a paid 8 week paid summer placement aimed at current university students.

The start date is flexible, but most students will start their role in June or July 2026
