Estate Caretaker

£14.00 per hour plus benefits. Location: Brixton, London

This exciting and challenging role involves forming part of a caretaking team to deliver, support and monitor the effective delivery of resident-led housing/operational services in line with a management agreement. You will have appropriate qualifications and or experience in estate cleaning and experience in working as part of a team. You will need a commitment to driving through performance improvements and good team work, communication and interpersonal skills.

  • To be responsible for the cleanliness, caretaking and security of all estate blocks, communal areas and grounds managed by the RMO on the Blenheim Gardens Estate.
  • To carry out routine duties on the estate including estate cleaning, caretaking, deep cleaning, minor repairs, ground maintenance, gardening and the maintenance of the estate.
  • To contribute to the overall smooth and efficient running of RMO.
  • To ensure the successful delivery of a professional customer focused services.
  • To ensure the successful delivery of a professional and efficient estate cleaning and caretaking services.
  • To work within the RMOs Equal Opportunities Policy, Health and Safety Policy, Customer Service and Performance Policies; ensuring that these are complied with throughout all activities within the scope of this role and to ensure the highest standards of customer care.
  • Ensure that all activities undertaken are carried out to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in accordance with the RMOs policies and procedures.
  • The post is offered on the basis of a 20 hour week (Monday to Sunday) around the needs of the business.
  • Flexibility is required to cover for absences is essential (i.e. sickness / annual leave).
  • Lone working is required.
  • A uniform provided by the RMO and this must be worn.
  • Occasional travel to suppliers and other community managed organisation is required.
  • This post is subject to a DBS check

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £14.00 per hour
