Overview

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and fabrication processes, particularly in TIG welding and sheet metal work but also able to do MiG and SMAW. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various hand and power tools to produce high-quality components for our projects.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques to assemble metal structures and components.
  • Fabricate parts from sheet metal according to specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.
  • Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to standards and specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and production goals.
  • Assist in the assembly of finished products as required.

Experience

  • Proven experience in welding, particularly TIG welding, is essential. Other welding processes are also applicable.
  • Familiarity with fabrication processes, including working with sheet metal.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to fabrication tasks.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
